February Binder

When I was still teaching in the classroom I read someone's blog post about "binder-izing" files. It was after that that I fell in LOVE with storing my files in binders.
I buy 12-packs of 1-inch binders from Amazon and they work great.
A few weeks ago I finally put together some monthly binders to keep our things specific to that month in. I just like that I can stand these up on a shelf.

I'm putting together my February binder so I thought I would share what I put in it to start! I like putting everything in page protectors because you never know what bodily fluid may end up on things these days!

Because I have a math and reading curriculum that we follow, the other things that make up our "curriculum" are:

The pages for the weekly lessons from Exploring Nature with Children: (If you missed my post about that you can read about it here)

And the "National Days" descriptions from the website. I could probably take the time to make it look better, but I just print it straight from the website. This month I also printed the national weeks and monthly observances, too, for even more ideas. (We do NOT celebrate everything for every day or even celebrate something each day. I pick and choose what I think would be fun, interesting, important, or relevant for us. Ahem... National Shower with a Friend Day? Seriously? 😂) But I love reading through them and getting ideas for dinner and snacks!

With just these three resources we have more than enough books to read and topics to cover!
I'll add things to our binder as the month goes so I have a reference of the things we did for next year.
If you'd like to have my monthly binder covers you can click HERE. I haven't made the covers for May-September yet, but if you add the document to your Google Drive it should update whenever I do!
There are some super fun days coming up in February (besides the obvious one!) so I'll be sharing a post about the days we plan to observe sometime this week!
Happy Monday, friends! I hope today was a fantastic day!
